St Clair (N. Congressional District) County Judge of Probate

This is the official St. Clair County, Alabama Probate Office page for the Ashville (Northern) division, one of the county's two probate seats (the other being Pell City). The Judge of Probate (Andrew Weathington) records and maintains real-property documents including deeds, mortgages, liens, and subdivision plats, and also handles motor-vehicle/boat tag and title registration and notary services. There is no verified online land-records or deed search portal for this office; recorded documents must be searched in person at the Ashville or Pell City office. Online tag/registration renewal is offered, but that is separate from land records. Property assessment and parcel/GIS data for the county are provided by other county offices (Revenue Commissioner and county GIS/mapping), not the Probate Office.
