Hernando County Clerk / Recorder
The Hernando County Clerk of Circuit Court & Comptroller records and indexes deeds, mortgages, liens, judgments, plats and other instruments affecting real property in Hernando County. The Official Records index and images are searchable free online from 1983 forward by name, instrument number, book/page, document type, record date, parcel ID and legal description, and the Clerk offers a free Property Fraud Alert email service.

The Hernando County Property Appraiser values all real and tangible personal property in Hernando County and administers homestead and other exemptions.
