Sebastian (Fort Smith District) County Clerk

This is the official Sebastian County Clerk's Office page for the Fort Smith District (County Clerk Sharon Brooks), the county's recorder of deeds. The office records and maintains deeds, mortgages, liens, plats, marriage licenses, and assumed-name (DBA) filings, and also handles voter registration and elections. Online access to recorded deed documents is available through a credentialed portal, but a username and password must be requested from the County Clerk and is primarily provided to title and abstract companies; there is no free open public search of recorded documents. The office also offers eRecording for document submission through approved vendors (Simplifile and CSC/eRecording.com). The public can search records in person at the Fort Smith or Greenwood courthouse or by contacting the office directly.
