The Marathon County Treasurer collects postponed and delinquent real estate taxes after January 31, prepares assessment rolls and tax bills for county municipalities excluding the City of Wausau, and handles tax-deed applications. The official office page is on marathoncounty.gov. Public tax, assessment, and parcel information is searchable free of charge in the county Ascent Land Records portal by address, PIN, or owner name; credit card and e-check payments can be made through that portal for a convenience fee.
