Lee County Judge of Probate

The Lee County Judge of Probate (Opelika, Alabama) is the county's official recording office and also administers the Probate Court and licensing functions. Its official page on leeco.us provides office locations, hours, contact numbers, recording fees, and notary information, but it does not offer an online public search of recorded documents. Recorded real-estate records — deeds, mortgages, liens, and plats — can be viewed in person at the Probate Office's public viewing stations or obtained by mail or in-person copy requests using the document's book and page number and recording date. Documents may be submitted electronically for recording through Simplifile (e-recording), and marriage licenses are handled in person. Online property tax and assessment lookups are provided separately by the Lee County Revenue Commissioner, not by this office.
